Terms of Service

1. What Axo does

Axo lets an AI assistant that you choose (for example Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor) work with your building models: read them, and plan and apply detailed modeling of building systems and their components. Today Axo works with Autodesk Revit through the Axo add-in running on your computer; the systems and tools it supports will grow over time.

2. Your account

• You need an account to use features that go through our servers. You sign in with an email code, Google or Microsoft; we do not store passwords.
• You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in methods secure.
• You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract.

3. Your models and your responsibility

• Axo changes your model only through the add-in on your computer. In Confirm mode, each change waits for your approval. In Autonomous mode, changes apply without a per-change approval, at your choice.
• Keep backups of your models. You are responsible for reviewing what Axo plans and applies, and for the work you deliver from it.
• Axo is a modeling tool, not engineering or code-compliance advice. Building-code and industry references in Axo's output are construction knowledge with their sources named. They are not a determination that a design complies with any code, and they do not replace a licensed professional.

4. Your AI assistant

The AI assistant you connect is provided by a third party under its own terms. Axo does not control what that assistant asks Axo to do. Axo's tools refuse requests outside their scope and report the reason.

5. Pricing and credits

• Prices are in US dollars and are shown in the product and on our pricing page. Prices exclude taxes, which are added at checkout where they apply.
• You can buy credit packs. Paid credit does not expire.
• Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as merchant of record for your purchase.
• Refunds: you may request a refund of unused paid credit within 14 days of purchase. After 14 days, paid credit is not refundable except where the law requires it. Free credit has no cash value. If we charge you in error (for example, twice for the same work, or for work that did not apply), we return that credit to your balance automatically or on request.
• We may change prices for future use with notice; credit already bought keeps the value it was bought at.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use Axo to break the law, infringe others' rights, attack or overload our services, get around usage limits or the free-credit rules (for example by creating multiple accounts), or resell access without our permission.

7. Your content

Your models, and the data Axo reads from them, remain yours. You give us permission to process them only to provide Axo to you. We do not use your model data to train AI models. See the Privacy Policy.

8. Our software

The Axo add-in and service are licensed to you, not sold, for use under these terms. Open-source components used by the add-in, and their licenses, are listed in its NOTICE file, available on request at customersupport@axolotlbim.com.

9. Availability and changes

Axo is an early (Alpha) service. Features may change, and the service may be interrupted. We may update these terms; we'll tell you of material changes by email or in the product, and continued use means you accept them.

10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Axo is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data or lost profits, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Ending

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Sections 3, 7, 10 and 12 survive.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
